The Haliburton County Studio Tour was founded in 1988 as a grass-roots movement among the local artists to coordinate their efforts and collaborate to create a new artistic event that would lengthen the tourism season for the entire community and showcase the incredible critical mass of artistic energy that is found in Haliburton. 

Over the past 23 years our Studio Tour has established it’s self as the premier artistic tour in the province of Ontario.  With new artists joining the tour through a stringent jurying process, as other artists move on;  the flavour and content of the tour constantly evolves, while the quality is held to the highest standards.

Our tour is a self guided trip through the beautiful and varied landscape of the Haliburton Highlands at the peak of the fall colours.  Although the dates change from year to year, the tour is always on the Canadian Thanksgiving  weekend and the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Since the days of the “Group of Seven” Haliburton has always attracted and inspired the artistic process.  Come and see for yourself why so many artists have settled here and why so many art collectors have Haliburton on their “Must Visit” list.
